Resources
Some amazing resources have been developed by Churches and Christian organisations for use in their local communities. Resources may address a particular issue or support the set up of a particular programme. Heart for Hull is keen to help Churches access readily available materials that can help them address a particular need in their community. This will be a space to watch as we start to share some of those resources.
This Advent and Christmas, The Diocese of York have curated a collection of resources to help churches and communities engage with the Church of England’s Advent and Christmas theme: Joy.
Designed to draw people of all ages into the wonder of the first Christmas, the materials support a wide range of settings – from church services and small groups to households and youth gatherings. The collection includes content tailored to different learning styles and reflective practices, making it easy for everyone to find something meaningful.
Among these resources are podcasts, poems, art and the Advent Antiphons. There is also a reflective journal for anyone to download and use during advent, and resources to use working with children and young people this Christmas which include a new children’s story; The Grumpy Owl.
