Workstreams

Heart for Hull is developing six workstreams:

Missional Discipleship, Poverty & Wholeness, Church Planting & Renewal, Children & Youth, Grassroots and Parish Ministry, Hull Minster.

A Heart 4 Hull Working Group comprised of local leaders has started. They will collaborate to ensure key initiatives identified fit together. Advice will be sought from local people to ensure priorities are relevant and will meet the needs of the City and the Deanery.

Missional Discipleship

Missional Discipleship

We want to grow in confidence as disciples and disciple makers. There are so many missional opportunities, but we need to equip ourselves and others as missionary disciples.

Poverty & Wholeness

Poverty & Wholeness

There is a lot of local experience and activity within the city and deanery but alongside that there is an opportunity for joined-up thinking about what works, what doesn’t and how we can work together in being good news for the poor.

Children & Young People

Children & Young People

We have huge compassion, commitment and deep appreciation for the life of our young people. There is much we want to celebrate but there is also much need and opportunity. We believe there is concerted work in this area needed to get there together.

Church Planting & Renewal

Church Planting & Renewal

We need courage, hope and perseverance. Our church planting must be embedded in our local hope and people. We need intentional city-wide planning, alongside education and training, in how we can confidently renew our churches.

Grassroots & Parish Ministry

Grassroots & Parish Ministry

There is so much local innovation and beautiful gospel opportunities, we want to work out what we need to resource, change or remove, in order to be more released as local missionaries.

Hull Minister

Hull Minister

Re-designated as a Minster in 2017, Hull Minster acknowledges what it already does in serving our city and the wider church and looks to expand this work in the future. Hull Minster has a clear Christian presence in the city with thousands of people passing through its doors; to visit, to engage and to worship.
